Voter education and participation programs comprised a key element of NYLCVEF’s programming in 2009 and will again in 2010. These programs raise awareness around an issue or election and engage voters in a nonpartisan way to take action and vote. The goal is to keep citizens informed about environmental issues affecting their local communities so they can keep the pressure on their representatives in government to build a greener future for New York state.
