In Suffolk County NYLCVEF works with local environmental groups to educate the public on environmental issues and hold elected officials accountable for their campaign pledges. Efforts include development of an environmental agenda, advocacy, tracking of environmental legislation in the county legislature, reports on the county executive’s environmental performance, and sponsoring a legislative breakfast in Albany with the Long Island delegation.
