Unlocking the Economic Potential of Energy EfficiencyNew York State's energy future
On April 9, 2008, Gov. David Paterson created a statewide energy planning board to forecast the New York's needs and develop a plan to meet the expected higher energy demand. This plan, coupled with the "45 by 15" plan announced in early 2009, are just two parts of a complex energy policy that continues to evolve. Last fall, NYLCVEF held a forum series exploring carbon-neutral energy production and distribution to help inform the energy planning board's work. Based on the success of this initial series -- and the important role that energy efficiency policy needs to play in any statewide plan -- our "Powering the Future" series has been expanded to include two new forums. NYLCVEF, NYU's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and its Institute for Civil Infrastructure Systems, and Con Edison invite you to an informative and lively discussion about the state government’s role in shaping energy efficiency policy. Please RSVP by clicking Location: NYU Wagner's Rudin Family Forum for Civic Dialogue The Puck Building, 295 Lafayette Street, 2nd Floor, NYC
