Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations

 The Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations is responsible for prospecting, soliciting and cultivating foundation and corporate support for the New York League of Conservation Education Fund, a 501c3 charitable organization focused on voter education and civic engagement.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Working with the president and board to develop c3 program
  • Developing an annual c3 revenue budget
  • Seeking corporate and foundation grants for general support and programmatic work
  • Overseeing implementation of funded programs

The responsibilities of the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations present an exciting opportunity for a leader who thrives in a culture that is entrepreneurial and collaborative, mission-driven and results oriented. The ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications:

  • 2 - 3 years experience writing grant proposals and/or reports;
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and use evaluation tools to gauge program effectiveness;
  • Understanding of nonprofit organizational development, budgeting and strategic planning;
  • Strong communication skills: excellent writer, active listener and articulate speaker
  • Knowledge of and interest in New York politics (local and statewide), environmental issues and non-partisan electoral politics
