The Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations is responsible for prospecting, soliciting and cultivating foundation and corporate support for the New York League of Conservation Education Fund, a 501c3 charitable organization focused on voter education and civic engagement.
The primary responsibilities include:
- Working with the president and board to develop c3 program
- Developing an annual c3 revenue budget
- Seeking corporate and foundation grants for general support and programmatic work
- Overseeing implementation of funded programs
The responsibilities of the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations present an exciting opportunity for a leader who thrives in a culture that is entrepreneurial and collaborative, mission-driven and results oriented. The ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications:
- 2 - 3 years experience writing grant proposals and/or reports;
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and use evaluation tools to gauge program effectiveness;
- Understanding of nonprofit organizational development, budgeting and strategic planning;
- Strong communication skills: excellent writer, active listener and articulate speaker
- Knowledge of and interest in New York politics (local and statewide), environmental issues and non-partisan electoral politics
