NYLCVEF's 2011 Long Island Policy Agenda outlines policy steps to address these problems and provide a foundation for Long Island's communities to serve as national models of sustainability.  Our agenda takes a broad view of sustainability: incorporating economic growth with urban planning and mass transit, conservation and clean energy. 

What's more is that the agenda objectives can be initiated with minimal financial investment, and will lead to overall taxpayer savings and generate revenue across the region.
