While all six cities employ planners, only the towns of Bedford, Cortlandt Manor, Greenburgh, Somers and Yorktown and the villages of Ossining, Scarsdale and Tuckahoe have planning staffs. Municipalities that do not have their own engineers will hire professional firms to review projects. Departments having personnel with planning, environmental or enforcement responsibilities may include Planning, Engineering, Building Inspection, Code Enforcement, Public Works, Environmental Services (Water, Sanitation, Recycling, Composting) and Recreation. |
