The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Nassau County provides information and training through the following “Environmental Enhancement” programs:

Long Island Water Resources provides information on water conservation in the landscape and home, tips about non-point source reduction, and advice on reduction of pesticide use. 

Integrated Pest Management and Pesticide Safety provides information on IPM practices, applicator safety, and safety to plants and the environment.

Plant Care Program advises on plant selection, planting and care, horticultural waste reduction and composting, and environmentally sound gardening practices.
