NYLCVEF Releases 2007 Legislative Progress Report

Submitted by Dan Hendrick on Tue, 09/04/2007 - 2:13pm.

The state Legislature posted "fair" progress on environmental legislation this year, but much work remains to improve New York's environment, according to a new report by the New York League of Conservation Voters Education Fund (NYLCVEF).

In its 2007 Legislative Progress Report, NYLCVEF analyses the fate of 24 individual bills introduced to tackle environmental problems. The legislation deals with a wide range of issues, including climate change, smart growth, environmental funding, transportation, environmental justice and energy planning.
