The most important thing you can do to help fight climate change is call on your elected officials to enact policies that will help solve it.

This summer, NYLCVEF released a Blueprint for a Greener Schenectady.   It identifies ways that Mayor Stratton and the Schenectady City Council can encourage sustainable development and take local action on climate change.

Take the time to engage your elected representatives about the issues that matter to you most.  They need to hear your comments and suggestions about the issues that matter to you most - not only to help them gauge their priorities but to guide them in appropriating new funds and in initiating new legislation that reflects the needs of your community.
